Wintery Day

On a perfectly cold and wintery August day, the boys and I set out to join our fellow homeschooling journiers to enjoy nature, gain bush tucker knowledge and have fun with friends.
Charlie slept in his little mummy cocoon (keeping me very warm, thank you Charlie), Noah & Eli ran, climbed and played their way around the bush. Josh rekindled his passion for nature and photography, discovering there is so much to find when you look with truly open eyes.
Fantastic photos Josh took of mushrooms and other plants at Main Ridge today:

We had all the information we needed on hand of native plants as our lovely friend Kylie is all things indigenous plants!!! Josh's own personal reference book. Thanks Kylie, can't wait for our next walk.

After our walk we popped down to Flinders for a coffee (which I somehow managed not to have thanks to Charlie soiling himself to degrees I don't think anyone wants to hear about. Lets just say if they were awarding prizes for pooing on your shoulders, Charlie would have won hands down!!!) and a play at the park. It was a lovely way to finish off a lovely day. Don't you just love it when your day just works!!!

Thank You to Josh for all of these wonderful photos, you are doing amazing things!!!
