Mobile Baby

Charlie is finally mobile...look out, seems that every day he is just growing and changing.

New hat for Chuckles

WOW, I can't can't believe how well this turned out, I have completely impressed myself senseless. Great pattern (make it perfect, thanks j9 for sourcing this for me) love it love it love it and not too difficult either. Managed to make most of it in the time it took Danny and the boys to watch Transformers2 (I would rather make a hat). Looks like everyone will be getting new hats this summer...weather they like it or not!!! WOOHOO

Backyard picnic

So who's the CUTEST BABY in the entire world then???

Lottie and Eli really wanted a picnic, so we threw a sheet over the cloths line and created our very own space in the shade.

It couldn't have been more perfect if we tried; warm with a nice breeze, nappies drying on the line above us, a big blanket and some yummy picklets, fruit, veges and for dessert Charlotte's favorite (and mine) home made organic mango sorbet. M M M.

Uncle Danny took a moment from the workshop to join us.

Tennis

Josh has been doing Tennis for about a year now. This term he started playing comp tennis on the weekend. He really enjoys it and is improving all the time.

Noah started lessons at the start of the year. He's doing very well and has just got a new racket.
I think he has the look...

Butterfly

We were reading about butterflies and such and I thought we'd set ourselves to a bit of a project which involved the design and construction of an anatomically correct butterfly.
Noah Charlotte and Eli drew up pattern, pinned them to fabric and cut out wings thorax abdomen and head (legs are still to come). Josh made some antenna's by platting wool.

I sewed all the bits together and then they all had a go at stuffing them. The thing is with this butterfly we made it so it attached together with Velcro, buttons, studs and ties so that you can take it apart and put all the bits back together again...very clever I thought. the kids picked the fabric too. Charlotte loved doing it so much she asked if we could make something every time she came over.

A Road Trip tp Nelson VIC and Home School Camp

After being blown home from camping (literally), did an express unpack/grocery shop/cloths wash/repack, all ready to do it all again the next day, this time with out Danny, just me and the boys. It was a seven hour drive, but was surprisingly easy. Set up and cooked dinner in the communal kitchen (intense).
The boys went canoeing/kayaking the next day, a long trip and 7 km. Josh did the first leg with his friend and Noah did the second leg with some lovely ladies who offered to take him.
Next day we hung out at Nelson and met some really lovely families, Kids had a great time and made some great Friends.

Saturday, we drove down to Cape Bridgewater, beautiful place, was pretty warm and was keen for a swim but those southern oceans where just a bit too chilly for mwah.
Noah and Eli were booked in on a boat ride out to see the seals. They really enjoyed it es specially the speedy boat ride back, our good friend Robyn went a long to hold onto them while the driver did donuts.
Had time for a play on the beach making dribble castles
Sunday we packed up and went home, decided to stop in Warnambool and take the Great Ocean Road home, it was very long but well Worth the effort.

Stopped in Apollo Bay for the most delish ice cream ever followed by pizza on the beach and a bit of a play before we headed off again.

Jaw, I love this photo...cute brothers.
All in all we had a wonderful and safe trip and a fun camp can't wait to meet up with new friends we made again one day.
Charlie reading his new book

Can't get enough...of Charlie

melt...melt...melt, oh how I love my baby.

Camping Trip

AT LAST!!! We managed to get away for a much needed break, and camping is how we do that best. Danny has been working super hard and need some relaxation.

I knew he'd miss his motorbike.

Agnes Falls, near where we were camping

Noah summoned the courage to go solo on the motorbike. He did awesomely.

These cows thought we were very interesting. What strange noises we were making.

Charlie thinks driving is easy, he's showing Danny how it's done.

"Got a copy dad"

Charlie thought this looked like fun.

Camping would be so much more fun if only the house cleaning and cooking fairies would come...but apparently they don't like camping, so I have to do it all myself.

Charlie's Pumpkin has a Face Lift

We thought Charlie's pumpkin had had a pretty good run, and since Halloween was in the air it seemed appropriate to transform it from Birthday pumpkin to scary dude at the front door. Josh did an awsome job of it.

Now it is a sad rotting heap in the chookpen, reminiscent of some decrepit old man who forgot to put his teeth in...
