Well, since my last poultry posting, we have returned all three roosters to their farm and aquired 3, what we supose are, hens.
It took them a little while for the ladies to seetle into their new abode, but have been very good and happy chooks...thus far (yet remaining eggless),
However one in particular seems a bit, well for want of a better word...stupid.
A few things I have learned in the last day or two about chooks
Lesson One: Never underestimate how smaller space a chook can escape from if driven to do so.
Lesson Two: Never underestimate how the other chooks like to follow the 'stupid' chook through this small space.
Lesson Three: Having once found this "very small space", chooks seem to not forget about it too quickly.
Lesson Four: Stupid Chook like to roost in the neighbours poplar.
Lesson Five: All three chooks seems to like neighbours poplar also.
Lesson Six: Clip a chooks wings and they can't fly so well.
Lesson Seven: ...Lets hope Lesson seven isn't about how a chooks really needs it's wings to escape from a fox.
Keep You Posted!!!
P.S. upon further thought, maybe it is not the chook which is stupid...
